Guideline on the Corporate Governance of Data

November 2018

The GNDI ​has issued a new perspectives paper on the Corporate Governance of Data.  
 
In the paper, GNDI Guidelines on the Corporate Governance of Data, the GNDI aim to provide a high level guideline to Boards of Directors on balancing legal and ethical considerations regarding data compliance and need for maintaining competitive advantage.
 
The paper further highlights core principles in providing strategic direction, oversight and the promotion of a data governance culture.

Global Director Survey 2018

The GNDI Global Director Survey 2018 has show that Directors worldwide are concerned about poverty and income inequality. 

​New global research taking the ‘pulse’ of board directors around the world shows directors are most concerned about the poverty and income inequality facing their countries.

“Taxation, government spending, and cost of health care are also weighing on the minds of directors worldwide as the most pressing social and economic issues for their countries,” said GNDI Chair Angela Cherrington, who is also chief executive of the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa (IoDSA).
